New Year new things

First new thing is I tried snowboarding. After 2-3 hours of torture and nearly getting a concussion, I rented some skis and went back to what I know. I'll let the young people do foolish things like that.

Secondly, I am changing my writing technique. Until now, I wrote like you read. I started at the page one and wrote in sequence until the book was done. I will call this the snowboarding technique because it is also foolish and painful. I am going to start writing the main scenes as I have laid them out in my head. This should allow me to work faster, or at least make it feel like I am making significant progress. I also think it will help me better gauge my progress on the book. I can then stitch the scenes together with pertinent scenes and dialog. You know, like a real writer. :P

  3. I skied in Austria once or twice. Incredibly beautiful but got a little lost and almost missed the bus back to Berchtesgaden.

My crash was worse. I got my back pointed downhill and went over on my back. My neck is still stiff and it hurts to sit...
